Since the official opening of the children’s home in Kaabong at the end of November, 14 children have been taken off the streets and returned to their families. This has been made possible by LIONHEART AFRICAs commitment, to provide the families according to what they need. We give food, pay school fees and/or rent & supervise them. Hunger and poverty are the most common reasons for children to go to the streets!
The children’s home itself was able to take in 11 more children. These are in addition to the 7 children who have been at the home for some time.
